LATEST UPDATE (March 14th, 2020)

Dear Members, Guests & BMBB Community,

Earlier today I sent a message out to our members about BMBB’s strategy with the current global health concerns.  If you are tuned into CP24 (all day like me), you know that things are changing by the hour.

This afternoon the Ontario chef medical officer of health has recommended that we practice social distancing. As you may have already heard, public schools and post secondary schools, libraries, pools and recreational centers, etc. will close effective midnight.

At Build My Body Beautiful we must do our part to keep our member’s health our priority. Effective March 14, 2020 all personal traning sessions, group fitness classes, including all bootcamps will be paused until further notice.  All enrolled members & personal training will be able to continue their programs/sessions and use their credits once we are able to safely resume.

Please remember, we must all do our part to act socially responsible, and the more steps we take together, the faster we can all return to our day to day lives.

Sincerely,

Members, Guests, and BMBB Community,

With all the recent news surrounding world health issues, we understand that there is a lot of information coming at you from all outlets and that it can be overwhelming. We would like to reassure you that the team at Build My Body Beautiful & our partners at CardioGo have yours and your family’s health as our top priority as we navigate through these times.

We would like to share with you what we are doing to keep you and your family safe and healthy

  • Boosted our cleaning schedule significantly during and outside gym hours for disinfection of common areas.
  • Increased cleaning frequency of all class studios, charge rooms & washrooms and common area surfaces
  • Scheduled regular cleaning sessions for mats, slings, seats, and other well used pieces of our environment
  • Stocked up on hand sanitizers and cleaning materials
  • Added extra cleaning stations around the facilities
  • Set up and performed a workshop for our cleaning team to make sure that they were doing as good a job as possible
  • Reduced group class enrollment sizes to encourage social spacing
  • All personal training staff have been asked to wipe down equipment/mats before and after client use
  • All staff and clients who feel unwell have been encouraged to stay home
  • We are beginning to screen anyone new coming to our facility for appointments for travel history and symptoms

As of today, all our facilities are open and ready for you. Do check your email and class schedule though before assuming everything is the same. If attendance drops we will be reducing our classes where appropriate. Operating hours are currently staying the same.

We will continue to use all precautions possible to prevent the spread of germs as outlined by the World Health Organization.

We will continue to monitor and receive updates from:

What can you do?

  • Please sanitize your hands upon arrival of any of our facilities at one of our hand sanitizing stations (located at the entrance of 266 King Street, and at the reception desk of 145 King Street)
  • Remember to wipe down your equipment and mats with the disinfectant sprays found on the floor (as an extra precaution we would recommend doing same before you use them)
  • If you are attending any of our group classes, kindly wipe down any mats/equipment before and after use with the disinfectant sprays found on the floor.  Keep your own mat/dumbells etc. during the class, as you move from station to station. We are working on eliminating station work as much as possible to reduce sharing of equipment.  (We are also keeping things cleaned between classes, but it’s always better to take extra precautions during this time)
  • Remember to reduce touching and keep a respectful distance from your fellow attendees
  • Please stay home if you are feeling unwell and advise your coach
  • Follow the Public Health and Travel Canada guidelines
  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and water or alcohol based hand rub.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
  • And most importantly, take good care of your health, by keeping your immune system strong through healthy eating, exercise, drinking plenty of fluids and getting enough rest

This is a sensitive time for all and Build My Body Beautiful will continue to prioritize client safety by implementing best safety measures.

As things change frequently, we will continue to update you as new information becomes available.

Sincerely,

Ana Plenter
